About
Gallant Therapy

At Gallant Therapy, I provide a calm, thoughtful, and non-judgemental space offering psychotherapy, coaching, and training rooted in compassion, courage, and lived understanding. With over 20 years of experience, I help individuals and organisations navigate grief, trauma, identity, and professional growth. My work combines evidence‑based approaches with rich human connection, creating safe spaces for healing, clarity, and resilience.

Psychotherapy and coaching sessions can take place online or in-person, in a calm and confidential room. Training can be planned and delivered online or in-person, across the UK and internationally.

I am Shaan Malhotra, a Psychotherapist, Coach &Trainer

I speak:

Hindi आपका स्वागत है।

Punjabi  ਜੀ ਆਇਆਂ ਨੂੰ

Urdu  خوش آمدید

I am an experienced psychotherapist working with adults facing anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, relationship challenges, and questions of identity and purpose. Alongside my professional background, I bring a deep lived understanding of loss and personal crisis, which shapes my compassionate approach to therapy. I have spent much of my career supporting individuals and families at their most vulnerable, and I understand how profoundly life experiences can shape how we see ourselves and the world.

In addition to psychotherapy, I am a qualified leadership performance coach and mentor, supporting individuals at all stages of their careers to build clarity and direction. I also design and deliver psychologically informed training for organisations, drawing on over 20 years of experience—including senior NHS and healthcare leadership—to create practical learning in complex and emotionally demanding environments.

My work is grounded in the belief that it takes courage to pause, reflect, and make sense of what you carry. I aim to create a space where you feel safe to explore openly, develop deeper self-awareness, and move forward with greater resilience and clarity.

My Approach…
to therapy, coaching & training

I offer a calm, collaborative and compassionate space where you can speak openly, at your own pace and without fear of judgement. Our work is shaped around you — your experiences, your needs and what feels important to you.

  • Tailored to you — therapy shaped around your individual experiences, needs and goals.
  • Evidence-based and relational — drawing on established therapeutic approaches while keeping our relationship at the heart of the work.
  • Meaningful change — exploring what has happened, how it affects you now, and how you might move forward in a way that feels right and sustainable.
  • Culturally aware and inclusive — recognising the influence of culture, faith, family, identity and lived experience.
  • Multilingual support — I speak English, Hindi, Punjabi and Urdu, giving you the option to express yourself in the language that feels most natural.
  • A place to be respected— your experiences, identity and values will always be respected, with space to bring your whole self into our work together.
  • At the heart of my approach is a simple aim: for you to feel heard, understood, supported and to create space for change.

Support That Meets You
Wherever You Are

Taking the first step toward therapy can feel daunting, but it can also be the beginning of something transformative. Whether you are facing loss, uncertainty, or emotional challenges, reaching out can be the first step towards clarity, healing, and change.

We can start with a free 30-minute consultation, on the phone or online, and we can take it gently from there. You decide what feels right for you and I’ll stay by your side.

Strengthen Your Voice & Shape Your Path

Whether you’re seeking personal clarity or professional development, I offer coaching and training that will empower you to lead with confidence and navigate challenges with courage.

A bit about the logo

My logo is a piece of artwork, originally constructed in 3D origami technique; it is called Gallant Knight and is hanging in my home.
I believe that asking for support, particularly in difficult times, takes courage and bravery. To me, it feels truly gallant when someone has the self-awareness and determination to reach out for support; gallantry towards themselves, their present and future.
